Saarah Hameed Ahmed (born 22 April 1989) India’s First Muslim Pilot. Saarah Hameed Ahmed was born and raised in Bangalore Karnataka After completing a PUC at Jyothi Nivas College, in 2007 Ahmed enrolled in the Paris Air Flight Training School in Vero Beach, Florida.

she said that as a Muslim students so many times were being denied US Visas but she had little difficulty obtaining one. Saarah is the only Muslim girl out off 600-odd women pilots employed in the Indian sector.

After a year of study and logging 200 flight hours Saarah received her commercial pilot’s licensei in2008. After completion of her Bachelor of Business Administration and some 1200 flying hours she was recruited by Spice et in 2010 as a commercial pilot

Saarah said

“I just love the look on people’s faces when they discover I am Muslim.”

Her Father Said

“In our community girls don’t usually take up professions where they have to stay away from home and live in hotels”.

Her Mother Said

“She never had any doubt about sending her to the USA is her proudest moment she says when a group of Muslim girls surrounded Saarah at a wedding and started asking her for tips to become a pilot”.
